I'm delighted to be able to contribute the images of More's Meadow on the outskirts of Cambridge for Haysom Ward Miller Architects, which has now been shortlisted for the 2024 AJ Architecture Awards. Here's what they say about it:
'We are thrilled to announce that our development of 21 new almshouses for the Great Shelford Village Charity has been shortlisted for Best Housing Project (up to £10 million) in the latest AJ Architecture Awards.
The 21 new homes, a mix of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom houses, are grouped in three curved terraces surrounding a central green. Equipped with air source heat pumps, mechanically ventilated heat recovery systems, triple glazing and high levels of insulation, the homes are designed to minimise energy consumption and keep residents’ running costs low.
Alongside the new development the charity has planted some 250 native trees and laid out allotments, a community garden, footpaths and benches, providing enhanced public access to the 8 acres of land it owns on the northern edge of the village, designed by Landscape Architect Emily Haysom'.

I've taken photos for Haysom Ward Miller for many years now, and they've been incredibly successful with their awards and subsequent work which arises from such recognition. My part of that in the image making process has helped them to get in front of judges, feature in many publications and articles online and in print, as well as use as examples of previous work to prospective clients. If you have projects you'd like documented with care and attention as well as somebody to work with over the course of many projects who will endeavour to get to know your designs and what you're about, then please get in touch to discuss your ideas today by using the contact me page of my website. Look forward to hearing from you!
